Who’s Who for Senatorship in MIC.

by Navinn Rajendran

As everyone are geared up for election many have ignored the Senatorship that is coming up as few individuals are having their term end pretty soon. A couple of individuals whom are supposed to be in the system has been not able to be absorbed into the system and this is indeed one channel. There are 4 spots for MIC in obtaining  the Senatorship and we have hereby listed 6 individuals that are eligible for the spot thus far based on position and contribution.

1.     Datuk T. Mohan (DTM)

DTM has been a very prominent figure amongst the Indian community since being appointed as the MIC Youth Leader. He has helped so many youths and have made many successful. How we wish if they had followed DTM’s footsteps instead of dancing around with arrogance. But the one name that will go down in history for leading Indians into the mainstream sports will be Datuk T Mohan. Being the Vice President of MIC also further strengthens his position to lead the Senatorship list.

2.       Datuk N. Muneandy

The one man anyone can contact anytime for any help, Datuk N. Muneandy has been the Coordinator of The National MIC Service Center. Having a team whom runs the service center, various issues has been highlighted and solved. The recent Rowter Case too was swiftly handled and further solved by The National MIC Service Center which is located on the 6th Floor at MIC HQ. Hailing from Tapah and to have come all this way, he is very seasoned and could further spearhead service centers to resolve rakyat’s issues. The service center is open to all races and it has been receiving amazing feedbacks from all quarters.

3.       Datuk Mohana Muniandy

Having led the Malaysian Indian women through MIC, the position held makes Datuk a choice to be selected for Datukship. Despite having been a questionable individual over the personal effort taken to uplift the Indian Women, almost all are looking forward to see a change programs and further empower women. Probably Senatorship would bring a change in the way woman are approached and further look into their needs and necessities.

4.       Uvaraja Maniam

Having  led the Putera MIC in a positive note, he totally deserves an appointment as he has focused a lot on varsity students. Having successfully led Putera and further design exciting programs for varsity student, this appointment will further give Mr. Uvaraja the opportunity to serve better. Leading a part of the party that builds the future, they indeed need to be seriously recognized and move deeper into varsities to look into the needs of the Indian students. Looking into high school students vigorously would also ease the process of troubled students whom can be guided well to success.

5.       Guna Sundari

A lot of young women are in need of guidance in the ground which are probably not able to be materialized due to lack of recognition and funds. Not having a proper representation in the system at times does hinder progress of a particular group of individuals. There are so many problems faced by young Indian girls and young women in the society. Probably with the right representation, such issues can be addressed with more seriousness and solution will be found and implemented more swiftly.

Does the caste system determine a Malaysian Indian’s life?

by Navinn Rajendran The caste system has always been an issue for an Indian, irrespective of where the individual is. I have always felt that the lack of understanding by the Indian Diaspora has led the issue to be hijacked by irresponsible individuals to be used for personal gain and further split the community deeply. I repeat, my focus here is narrowed down to the Indian Diaspora and I am further narrowing it down specifically towards Malaysian Indians. I have always had people complaining that the caste system should be abolished in Malaysia and it is causing racism within the community. Every time I try to explain it on my point of view, I end up being labelled as racist and so on. And then it hits me that lack of basic understanding of caste system in Malaysia had led to a negative viewpoint. Firstly I am going to further narrow down the subject to Malaysian Indians whom are Tamils. There are other communities that don’t face much of an issue in general. The Teleg...

The Razif Case by Navinn Rajendran

A post has been going viral over at social media over a young boy being highlighted by an individual named Razif Rawter making a statement over the state of a 15 year old Malaysian Indian. Many claims were put forth by Razif over the boy’s situation without verifying the facts.  *Razif was too emotional over the state of the boy that he reacted immediately?* This is not true. Razif posted this issue the day after he helped the boy. He had ample of time to seek verification.   *Razif didn’t know where to seek clarification?* This is not true. If Razif can have an opinion on MIC, he should have had the knowledge to seek clarification. *Was Razif’s opinion on MIC right?* He was right probably if it was 5 to 10 years ago. Now the whole system has been revamped. The way things work in MIC is different and the present time. A simple layman’s observation will say so. Every portfolio for Indian Development is under the Prime Ministers Department. Gone are th...

I Wish I Was Born Bumiputra Or Chinese

by Navinn Rajendran 29 years I have been a Malaysian Indian. I have never felt distressed as I feel right now. I never wanted to feel such but here I am, feeling why I were born a Malaysian Indian. I have live amongst the lowest environment and the highest. I know how it feels like to be a makkeh and also to have standard and I am totally aware of how much both worlds have their own battles. I am tired of how much another Indian wants to take advantage of every single thing available. Some might call it smartness. I would call it Etche Putthi (Low Mentality). Whom I know matters more then who I am. How I do matters more then what has to be done. Bank balance matters more than far sightedness. I don’t fear breaking in anymore. I fear burglar raping my sister. If there were three alleys and each had a group of Indians, Malays and Chinese, any Indian girl would feel safe walking in any of the alleys except the Indian one. We fear telling our parents who we love and we are...
